Thanks to the generosity of more than 90,000 alumni, partners and friends, the University of Alberta’s Campaign 2008 surpassed its goal of $500 million.
At $581.7 million, it is the second largest completed campaign of its kind in Canadian history. With 1,114 new scholarships and awards, 50 new endowed chairs, 8 new endowed professorships, 13 new facilities adding more than 1.3 million square feet of new teaching, learning and research space, the U of A is forging ahead into its second century.
We are grateful for the strong culture of philanthropy among our alumni and friends in Alberta, across Canada and around the world. Their commitment to the U of A enriches our ability to continue developing leaders and to continue seeking solutions to today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
